Henna Gallery II - Bands for Bracelets or Anklets

The most difficult part of drawing bracelets and anklets in henna is getting your lines to meet up. I like to use a rubber band wrapped around the wrist or ankle (or finger) to guide me in laying down the main lines of the design. You can also use tape, or even an eyeliner pencil.

These vertical bands look great running up the fingers. You can also make them twine around a finger, or all fingers.

The above designs are redrawn from a book called, simply, "Mehandi Designs" published by Navneet Publications (Dantali, Gujarat). You can obtain this and other related books from a store in New York City, Butala Emporium, (718) 899-5590. You can also order them directly from Navneet (www.navneet.com) and pay for shipping.

These bands look beautiful as bracelets or anklets. The designs in the top left corner and the bottom right corner above look especially elegant as finger rings.
